Solar Reliability
Starts at the Seal

Generic chemistry is where solar modules fail. Oniva engineers purpose-built materials for the two highest-risk interfaces in every module, junction box and frame edge.

The Problem

Where Modules Fail Silently

Solar manufacturers invest billions in better cells, then seal them with off-the-shelf chemistry. That gap is where reliability dies.

Stage 01 · Initiation
01
Thermal cycling opens micro-cracks
Generic compounds expand and contract unevenly across thousands of heat cycles. Micro-cracks form. Moisture finds a way in.
Stage 02 · Propagation
02
Moisture corrodes contacts and diodes
Water vapour attacks metal contacts and diode leads. Invisible until the damage is done, and by then, it's deep in the laminate.
Stage 03 · Failure
03
Power output collapses
PID triggers. Output drops 30–50% within months of onset. By the time monitoring flags it, the damage is irreversible.
Root Cause

Standard Materials Weren't Built for This

Most commercial sealants were designed to pass a lab test, not survive 25 years of UV, heat, and moisture in the field.

Our Products

Two Functions. One Mission.

Two functions. Two critical joints. Zero compromise.

Series · Potting
Junction Box Potting Compound
Zero moisture ingress. Full thermal durability. Full service life.
  • Void-free cure eliminates the #1 moisture entry point
  • UV stabilised by formulation, not a surface coating
  • Stable from −40°C to 150°C, no embrittlement
  • High dielectric strength throughout module life
Series · Sealant
Framing & Junction Box Sealant
Structurally elastic. Permanently sealed. Decade after decade.
  • Bonds aluminium, glass & polymer simultaneously
  • Permanently elastic, never hardens, never cracks
  • UV & weathering resistant at the highest-exposure edge
  • No primer required, ready for production-line application
Why Oniva

Built for Solar. Only Solar.

Not a general chemicals distributor. A solar-specific materials company, and that focus makes every difference.

01
Research-Backed
Specs grounded in IEA PVPS, NREL, and Kiwa PVEL field data, not internal lab claims.
02
Application-Specific
Not adapted from industrial chemistry. Developed specifically for junction box and frame sealing in solar PV.
03
Built to Last 25+ Years
Engineered for the full 25-year module lifespan, not just to pass initial certification tests.
This is not just a chemical.
It is a reliability solution.
Every gram applied is an investment in the long-term performance of your modules.
